A autoeficácia e disposição para esforço de carreira influenciam na expectativa de ganhos futuros de estudantes da área de negócios? Análise multigrupos do gênero

Resumo

Objetivo: Este artigo investiga a influência da autoeficácia e da disposição para esforço de carreira na expectativa de ganhos futuros.

Método: Foi realizada uma survey com estudantes universitários da área de negócios submetidos à análise multigrupos do gênero com aplicação da modelagem de equações estruturais.

Resultados: Os resultados mostram que a autoeficácia e a disposição para esforço de carreira influenciam na expectativa de ganhos futuros. A análise multigrupos por gênero demonstra que a autoeficácia dos respondentes do gênero feminino influencia na expectativa de ganhos futuros de recompensas; já para os respondentes do gênero masculino foi observada significância apenas para recompensas intrínsecas. A disposição para esforço de carreira não influencia na expectativa de ganhos futuros para o gênero feminino; por sua vez, para o gênero masculino, influencia nas recompensas extrínsecas.

Contribuições: Estes achados proporcionam implicações teóricas e práticas ao revelarem a expectativa de carreira de estudantes da área de negócios em termos de recompensas intrínsecas e extrínsecas e, como aspectos cognitivos, podem oferecer explicações para a expectância de ganhos futuros. Importantes implicações práticas para gestores de empresas, ensino com modalidades alternativas e políticas públicas podem ser inspiradas nos resultados da análise multigrupos, que revela percepções contrastantes.
